Legacy Washington's Annual Special Exhibit

A bookroom with many stacks of books.

Browsing the Stacks celebrates the State Archive and State Library with pieces that traverse the history of our state.

An exhibit at the Karshner Museum

The Browsing the Stacks exhibit is on loan to the Karshner Museum from the Washington Secretary of State’s Office and Legacy Washington through January 19, 2024.

It will then travel to other museums throughout the state. You can also visit a digital version of the Browsing the Stacks exhibit here.

The Karshner Museum has also created a companion exhibit, Karshner Museum’s Browsing the Stack: Our Favorite Things, that highlights local artifacts and memories from the community, school district and Dr. Karshner’s collection. There are over 300 pieces in the exhibit!

You can view these exhibits and much more at the Karshner Museum every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1-4 p.m. on days school is in session. They are also open on the third Saturday of each month from 12-5 p.m. Admission is always FREE!
